Apple Releases New Update iOS 8 0 1 To Bugs Fixes in HealthKit Keyboards and More The Update Causing Issues Updated
After a week of the release of iOS 8 to the public, Apple today released a new update iOS 8.0.1, which brings several bug fixes to this new operating system. The update arrives as built 12A402.
iOS 8.0.1 can be downloaded over the air, or though iTunes. The update contains a number of fixes for bugs found in the initial release of iOS 8. Fixes have been made to HealthKit, which prevented apps that support HealthKit from being allowed in the App Store, this probleme came to light shortly before the public launch of iOS 8.
Addition to problems with Photo Library, data usage for SMS/MMS messages, issues with 3rd party keyboards have also been addressed, along with problems with uploading photos, videos to Safari and more.
- Fixes a bug so HealthKit apps can now be made available on the App StoreApple promised customers to enable its mobile payment service Apple Pay in October, that through an update to iOS 8, that mean the second update will be likely in the coming weeks.
- Addresses an issue where 3rd party keyboards could become deselected when a user enters their passcode
- Fixes an issue that prevented some apps from accessing photos from the Photo Library
- Improves the reliability of the Reachability feature on the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus
- Fixes an issue that could cause unexpected cellular data usage when receiving SMS/MMS messages
- Better support of Ask To Buy for Family Sharing for In-App Purchases
- Fixes an issue where ringtones were sometimes not restored from iCloud backups
- Fixes a bug that prevented uploading photos and videos from Safari
Note: Many early installers have complained of this update which caused to cellular service to be disabled, so "No Service" messages after updating. There are also reports of problems with Touch ID.
Update: it seems these issues limited to users who have an iPhone 6 or an iPhone 6 Plus. Apple has pulled iOS 8.0.1 from the Developer Center, it is also no longer available via over the air, Apple said that it was investigating the issue. Later it released a support document confirming that an iOS 8.0.2 update is in the works with a fix.

All The Changes In iOS 7 1 Beta You’ll Actually Notice
This morning Apple released its first major beta build of iOS 7 to developers since the release of iOS 7 in September. On the surface the update seems to be just a bunch of bug fixes and performance improvements for a number of apps, but once you dig into the new software a little more there are a couple UI changes and new features that we’ve found.
Here are the new changes to iOS 7.1 that you might actually notice:
Dark Keyboard
iOS 7 is flat and white all over but a few apps like Tweetbot 3.0 have taken advantage of Apple’s dark keyboard to give their apps more variation. With the iOS 7.1 beta users can finally switch to the dark keyboard permanently under the Accessibility Settings

Improved Contrasts
Another new Accessibility option added to the iOS 7.1 beta essentially darkens the entire OS by giving users the options to Reduce Transparency, turning the dock and folder backgrounds a dark grey. You can choose to darken colors in iOS 7.1 too.
Speaking of Accessibility enhancements, Apple also added controls that increase contrast throughout the UI. You can now choose to Reduce Transparency to improve contrast on some backgrounds so you can read text better. There’s also an option to darken colors if iOS 7 is just too damn bright.
New HDR Auto Mode
Apple added a new HDR Auto mode to iOS 7.1 beta that automatically chooses the best photo from your HDR snap. You can toggle HDR Auto off by just switching to “HDR On” if you want the camera to save all 3 exposures to your camera roll with the option to expand and view each frame. The switching UI is a bit confusing at first, so hopefully Apple makes some improvements before final release.
To switch back to regular HDR mode just tap the HDR button and choose “On” or “HDR Off”.

Flickr Gets More Minimal
Flickr’s logo in the iOS 7.1 beta Settings has lost its gradient and app icon border, getting replaced with more minimalist white space to go with its blue and pick dots.

Leaked Screenshots of iOS in the Car that Expected to Be Bundled into iOS 7 1
The iOS in the Car First introduced alongside iOS 7, is an upcoming iOS feature, which lets you access your Maps, messages, make phone calls, and other services on your car’s touchscreen console, and also with Siri integration, so that you won’t have to take your eyes off the wheel.
The new that developer Steven Troughton-Smith, has posted a number of images on Twitter of what appears to be Apples upcoming iOS in the Car interface. but He hasnt responded to any follower inquiries about the origin of the images. Steven Troughton-Smith is the developer behind the Speed 3 app.
Its thought that the images may have been gleaned from the fourth beta of iOS 7.1. The second beta of iOS 7.1 brought a new Car Display toggle, leading some to believe that iOS in the Car support could be a feature bundled into iOS 7.1
The design shown in the images appear a user-interface that is quite different to the one shown at Apple’s WWDC in 2013 and on Apple’s website.

Asus turns to negative ad campaign to sell devices expects to ship 1 million ZenFone units in Q2
In a crowded Chinese smartphone market, Asus plans on using a negative ad campaign in order to grab sales from a smartphone hungry population. This means that instead of focusing on the great features and capabilities of its own products, Asus ads will show you how the competition screwed up. Along these lines, Asus has already referred to its rivals as idiots, saying that it wont hold back production of its ZenFone to create an artificial demand.
This so-called "Hunger Marketing" is all the rage in China and is relied on by companies like Xiaomi. With this marketing ploy, a small number of units is made available for a particular model. This artificially drives up demand as buyers worry about the phone getting sold out. While Xiaomi used this technique to sell such models as its Xiaomi Hongmi, ZTE recently used it on a high end model, the ZTE Grand S II. In 58 seconds, the Chinese manufacturer sold out 50,000 units of the phone. That is a drop in a bucket compared to the 400 million smartphones expected to be sold in China this year.
Speaking of forecasts, Asus expects to ship 1 million units of its ZenFone this year. Now shipping pre-orders in China, Taiwan and Indonesia, the manufacturer believes it will ship 200,000 to 300,000 units in April, 400,000 next month, and 500,000 in June. These estimates come directly from the companys CEO, Jerry Shen. The executive says Asus is confident of shipping 5 million ZenFone handsets this year, and doubling that number in 2015.
The Asus ZenFone 6 features a 6 inch LCD screen with a 720 x 1280 resolution, powered by a dual-core 2GHz Intel Atom Z2580 CPU with 1GB of RAM, 8GB of native storage, and a 64GB microSD slot. Back and front-facing cameras weigh in at 13MP and 2MP respectively, with a 3300mAh cell providing the power. Android 4.3 is pre-installed.
The Asus ZenFone 5 has similar specs, except for the 5 inch LCD screen and the lower capacity 2110mAh battery. The Asus ZenFone 4 features a 4 inch LCD screen with similar specs as the ZenFone 5 except for the smaller screen, the dual-core 1.2GHz Intel Atom Z2520 CPU, 4GB of native storage, the 5MP rear-facing camera and .3MP front-facing snapper, and the 1200mAh battery.

Sony Launches 6 Bravia 4K Televisions in India Starting Rs 1 74 900
Sony on Tuesday announced the launch of 6 new Bravia 4K televisions in 3 new series in India. While 4 are already available in the country, ranging in price from Rs. 1,74,900 to Rs. 7,04,900, 2 others will be released in India by the end of September.
The Japanese consumer electronics giant said the 6 new Bravia 4K TVs offer "excellent picture and audio quality, while featuring a bevy of new features will appeal to the discerning consumer."
Sony says, "All 6 of the new 4K models offered by Sony will incorporate the powerful picture processing engine, 4K X-Reality PRO, which uses a combination of unique up-scaling and super resolution technology from Sony to offer any content in beautiful and stunning 4K resolution."

All 6 new models also support HDMI 2.0, which Sony says gives them the ability to display 4K/60p content. The models will also be equipped with a new decoder which supports HEVC and can playback 4K/60p content from Internet streaming services and USB playback. The TVs are also compatible with MHL 3.0, which supports 4K output from smartphones and tablets
Other features included on Sonys new Bravia 4K TVs include X-tended Dynamic Range (for a higher dynamic range of brightness with a proprietary backlighting algorithm), Triluminos display (for a wider gamut of colours), and a Wedge form factor for increased stability (on select models).
The company is also introducing One-Flick Entertainment, a feature that allows viewers to quickly browse content across different sources at home. The bundled One-Flick Remote Control gives users intuitive control, with simple swipes allowing users to access both offline and online content. By touching compatible NFC-enabled smartphones or tablets to the One-Flick Remote Control, users can see content stored on those devices.

Also on the new Sony Bravia 4K televisions is the Social Viewing feature, which enables users to Skype chat (with the built-in camera) apart from keeping track of their social media accounts.
Sony has detailed pricing for the 4 already available Bravia 4K TVs, with the 79-inch Bravia KD-79X9000B priced at Rs. 7,04,900, the 55-inch Bravia KD-55X9000B priced at Rs. 3,14,900, the 55-inch Bravia KD-55X8500B priced at Rs. 2,54,900, and the 49-inch Bravia KD-49X8500B priced at Rs. 1,74,900. The 85-inch Sony Bravia KD-85X9500B and 65-inch Bravia KD-65X9000B will be released by the end of September - with prices only revealed then.

LG Tab Book Duo Hybrid 2 in 1 10 inch with Windows 8
The Korean company has renewed its family of hybrid “Tab Book” by launching a new model that recovers the origins and revolutionizes the concept. BlackBerry Could Lose 2 6 Billion In 1 Year and Go Extinct
Things have been going really rough for BlackBerry since the start of 2013, in fact we can say since the entrance of Apple and Google into the smartphone business. But things arent as bad as they are now. The company is losing not just customers but also losing money, employees and faith from its fans.
Recently, a report from AllThingsD states that BlackBerry may lose up to $2.6 Billion if the rate a which they lose customers is anything to come by. Presently, the company have laid off more than 4500 of its workforce. To make matters worse, some directors are even suing the managers for given false projections and hopes regarding the success of BlackBerry 10.
Presently, Fairfax financial is planning to buy the companys shares for $9 eac. However, its possible that the deal may not go through his completely as the value of these shares may drop further. This places BlackBerry in a really tight corner, a corner so tight, in the next couple of years, when it losses all its has and bought by other companies and torn to bits, the name BlackBerry may go down in history. Perhaps, only BlackBerry Messenger may survive.
